1:48PM... no news yet (no news is good news)

The morning flew by. The afternoon has come to a crawl. We're due for a progress report, and have yet to receive it. I'm just anxious.

Thank you for leaving comments. Be assured that Shawndra is listening to those songs on the radio in her dreams.

I suppose I'll work for a while to get my mind off the situation at hand. My boss has been amazing during this whole ordeal (for over a year).

I'll report when the latest is made known to us.

Thank you as well for keeping us posted. I too believe that no news is good news. I am thankful that you have such a great boss that allows you to be there for your family first. Those kind are hard to come by nowadays. I believe God will look down on his generosity with a smile. I hope the time passes quickly for you. We are here for you!

Thank you, Doug. Even to know that you don't know anything, is comforting. Cast your anxiety on Him.

I just yelled "praise God!" when I heard they were going for the extensive surgery. We are all praying here, those who are blessed to know and love Shawndra here at Children's Mercy...praying while we work. We're like the Verizon people...think of us as your prayer network. (Can you hear me now?) :) Elena, ENT

I know all to well how that wait moves at a snails pace. You have all been in my thoughts all day, and the refresh button is getting it's workout. Tell Gary and Carolyn they too are in my prayers. As you said, no news is good news. Thanks for updates. You have a full plate today so don't forget to take care of yourself too.

I've been gone today and was just able to get caught up. I have tears in my eyes...tears of sorrow for the loss of Papa and tears of joy for Shawndra being able to have the surgery she hoped and prayed for. A special angel is looking over her now...prayers Doug and Shawndra.
