Punks

click to enlarge photoIsn't my punks a cutie! I love this picture. Ella just got some kitchen items along with a hat and apron from Angie. It is hard to get that great smile in a picture, she is too quick to catch her looking at the camera and smiling all at once. I will look at this picture all the time. (You can click on it for a larger version.) I love it.
Anyway, I am getting ready for bed because chemo starts fairly early tomorrow. Gotta be there around 8:30 for labs, then chemo at around 9am. Gotta keep reminding myself, only a few down days then some great days ahead, and Oprah next week. I gotta shop this weekend and find the perfect outfit.. something stylish and bright.
I had another appointment today with Cancer Rehab. This time it was with a physical therapist. It was basically a massage trying to redirect the fluid in my lymph nodes. It was pretty relaxing, not a bad appointment to have to go to.
I hope you all had a good Monday, I know it is hard to get the week started sometimes. I always think Tuesday is Monday, when I take Ella to daycare.
Okay, I am blabbing. I will talk to you all soon. I just wanted to show off my punks! I am so proud of her. Ella, if and when you read this... You mean everything to me and I can't be a prouder mother of you. You are everything I could have hoped for and dreamt of. I love you forever and always. Your mommy, Shawndra

*PLEASE READ EVERYONE*

Shawndra i have read a couple of your blogs and i have tried to keep up with how things were going with you. I was also a faithful follower of Jennifer Irelands blogs!

I just wanted to make a comment to ask people for prayers for a girl named Megan Rooker. Megan was a girl who graduated in a couple grades ahead of me. She was 22 years old and she was diagnosed with Leukemia cancer after pregnancy with her first child. When they caught her cancer it was in one of the latest stages. However they tried 2 donors both were unsuccesful for Megan. Megan only went home a couple weeks before her long term stay at the hopsital after her pregnancy. Megan stayed in the hospital at St louis where She battled this cancer to the best of her ability it was incredibly hard to watch her family ask for prayers with tears in their eyes. On sunday at church they said Megan was unresponisve and that fluid was building up in her lungs Megan died 10 after 5 On Sunday night. Megans best friend was also admited to the hosiptal at the same place of Megan with cancer where he laid in coma but megans family never chose to tell her in fear she would give up hope. Megan Rookers family needs everyones prayer as they bury their one and only baby girl in a couple days.

Sincerely,Shanna

What a cutie pa-tutie! One of our son's nick name is bunkie or bunk pie, sort of similar. =] He's 15 now and would kill me if I called him that in public, now he's graduated to buddie.
She is a doll! Little girls are so precious you'll have to bake lots of cookies and cakes, get some great use from that adorable outfit of hers!
We're all praying for mild side effects and some good rest for you this week.
Take care - Deb

Shawny-
I've got tears in my ears reading the last paragraph. Ella WILL get an opportunity to read this (that is when she actually can read! Hee). I will make certain that it will be accessible to her for many years to come - including pics!! So, not to worry, you just keep fighting and enjoying every moment with her!
My love,
your sis - Dre

Hey, Miss Thing...
What an adorable picture of you and Ella. She is so your daughter.
What beautiful smiles!
This is one of my favorite songs..one I dedicated to Olivia upon her birth and adoption. When I saw the picture of you and Ella, this song immediately came to mind. Enjoy.
Good luck today and I will see you tomorrow for some shopping ;-O
Love,
Brandi

IN MY DAUGHTER'S EYES By: Martina McBride

In my daughter's eyes, I am a hero.
I am strong an' wise,
And I know no fear.
But the truth is plain to see:
She was sent to rescue me,
I see who I wanna be, in my daughter's eyes.

In my daughter's eyes, everyone is equal,
Darkness turns to light,
And the world is at peace.
This miracle God gave to me,
Gives me strength when I am weak.
I find reason to believe, in my daughter's eyes.

An' when she wraps her hand around my finger,
Oh, it puts a smile in my heart.
Everything becomes a little clearer.
I realise what life is all about.
It's hangin' on when your heart has had enough;
It's givin' more when you feel like givin' up.
I've seen the light: it's in my daughter's eyes.

In my daughter's eyes, I can see the future.
A reflection of who I am,
An' what will be.
An' though she'll grow an', some day, leave:
Maybe raise a family,
When I'm gone, I hope you'll see,
How happy she made me,
For I'll be there, in my daughter's eyes.

She's cute and she can cook?! That spells just one thing - TROUBLE! She's going to have boys lined up at the door before you know it!
Just make sure you leave a window/glass repairman number for her when you are out... ;)

Hope chemo is being kind to you today.

Love you, Ella, Doug and your families with all of my heart, d

Love the pic, ShawnD. I'm going to have my daughter read this some day, too. To prove there are good people in the world and so she knows about you - you're my daily inspiration!

Hi Shawndra,

I've been thinking about you these last couple of days, and hoping chemo was kinder to you this week. Hang in there...next week there's much to look forward to! Absolutely adorable pic of Ella...she's a cutie. And, being the mom to three redheads, I can say I'm partial them!! :)

Prayers to you, my friend.

Could Ella be any cuter?!? So adorable, both of you! And you looked very "posh" in your costume. Glad to hear you had a good time and I hope the chemo hasn't knocked you down too much this week!
