Round 2 roughed me up

Well, I had chemo yesterday. It started off okay. I actually had a great visitor, a cancer survivor herself, she actually got to just visit the cancer center, not be a patient. Thank you Christy for coming to visit and chat with me. Towards the end of my treatment I start to feel strange, it is hard to describe. I feel out of it, hazy, like there is nothing in my head besides maybe air, I feel like that at other times too, hehe. I started getting a bit sick feeling to my stomach which persisted most of the evening. I tried to take some compazine before I went to bed, then I got sick and took another compazine since I probably brought that one back up. So it was a bit rough yesterday. I just hate feeling nauseous and vomiting, it is up there as the worst in my experience. I am feeling a bit better today, not nauseous. I still feel abit out of it. I am going to try to rest most of the day besides a dentist appointment. Ella is at daycare so I can rest. Daycare is so great, she loves it and I get a little time to recouperate. Win win situation. Since there isn't much going on in my head, I think I am going to leave it brief today. I hope you all have a good day. My prayers are with all of you who support me. I pray each day for all you who support me, I pray to God that he keeps you safe, happy and healthy. I hope you have these three things in your life. I know God is going to pull me through this and perform a miracle on me. Again, one of my favorite quotes... "I shall not die, but live, and declare the work of the lord." I struggle on these days when I don't feel so good from chemo. It gets me down and sometimes I think it would be so much easier to give up the fight. I truly feel like I am fighting on these days. Thank God they are few and far between. I am sure there are so many more people who suffer much more than I have. Until next time... shawndra

Shawnda,
I pray for you every day here in Minnesota. I feel it is even more personal since I met you at Jill's in September. What a bright light you are. You take a day...take two ...regroup ...get your strength back. Most of us would be taking much more time for ourselves than you are and you certainly have a right.
These are the days the rest of us need to pick up the slack and say extra prayers. Hope to see you in the neighborhood again this weekend.
Sending hugs from Minnesota.

Shawndra, it was truly an honor to visit with you in the cancer center yesterday. You are such a fighter. I'm sorry the chemo "roughed you up." I hope you were able to eat a good lunch and get a little nap in. I hope you are starting to feel better. I also hope you and Doug are able to participate in the Crawl for Cancer. It will be nice to know someone there. We only really know Chris and Jan. Talk to you soon.

Shawndra,
You are such a trooper. Thank you so much for praying for all of us who are supporting you. It goes to show what a close relationship you have with God. He is with you every step of the way right along with us. And he also aches as we all do to hear when you're not feeling well. I hope tomorrow will be much better for you. You will be in my prayers before I go to sleep tonight as you always are. God bless you!

Sorry to hear you are not feeling so hot. Hang in there and keep fighting this monster with all your might! My prayers and toughts are with you always. I ask God to give you extra strength everday!
I saw this article on CNN.com today and thought I would pass it along. Sounds pretty interesting and maybe one more thing to help people stay ahead of the game...or to detect things sooner!

You will have to copy and paste the link to go to the site:

Hi, Shawndra ~

Your happy spirit in the midst of these troubles so declares the works of the Lord. You are such an inspiration to so many people (some you know and to so many who are daily inspired by your life and fight). Know that you have angels praying each day for you and your dear family.

Love,
Cheryl
