Hello all. Shawndra was hospitalized yesterday due to some complications. We'll know more late in the day tomorrow (Tuesday). In order to control her pain, she's been heavily sedated.
You know Shawndra... she's the toughest fighter you'll ever meet. Her fortitude never ceases to amaze us. With that said, though, she needs your prayers now, more than ever.
Please, no visitors at this time.

Watching someone you love die from cancer or all the complications that come with the treatments is one of the hardest things to do in this world. All the suffering, the pain, for everyone...... I am so sorry..... I just learned of Shawndra's cancer and passing today. Unfortunately I haven't seen Shawndra for 15+ years. We grew up skating together. But i do remember that firecracker on the ice who was always determined and great at everything she put her mind to. And did it with a smile. I see nothing has changed. She is an inspiration to us all. I see from the blog she fought this battle with such grace, dignity, and of course humor. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family is in our prayers.
