Happy Birthday!

Today would be Shawndra's 33rd Birthday. I just wanted to let you all know and wish her a Happy day of sorts. We are thinking of her today, as everyday. Praying continually for Doug, Ella, and my mom and dad. Thanks for those of you who continue to pray and support our families!

Praying for your family everyday. You don't know me but I followed Shawndra's story for a long time. She really touched my heart. I have a daughter the same age as Ella. I cherish everyday with her a little more than before thanks to Shawndra. God Bless Your Family.

I have wonderful memories of birthdays past. I will never forget the carnivals the Beauchamps put on in their backyard.

Andrea,

Thank you for taking the time to update us. Cheers for the day on which such a truly beautiful soul was born into this world! Shawndra packed more life and love into her 32 years than many people will experience in a lifetime. What an extraordinary woman; what an extraordinary loss you've all endured. We wish you peace and keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Doug- I worked with you yesterday meeting you for the first time and made the stupid assumption you were divorced. It bothered me the rest of the day that someone so young is a widower, so I googled your name and discovered your wife's blog. I still haven't been able to get through all of it because it moves me to tears and I have to stop. I guess I just wanted to tell you that your entire family are so amazing and your wife was so inspirational (still is) and courageous. What a legacy she leaves behind for your daughter. I admire her strength and yours.

I thought of you today too..., I like how that was put. Enough said. I like what Angie wrote too, it was heartfelt & brave. I know how shes feeling, the same way I did when I first found Shawndras blog. I was lucky enough to tell her, through words though, how much she has touched me. God Bless, Vickie in J.C., Mo.

Doug, we will say special prayers for you as your wedding anniversary approaches. The love you and Shawndra shared was rare and special. Your marriage and love for one another remains as one of the best examples I've seen in my life. I hope you feel Shawndra with you every day, and I hope you feel peace and joy as you celebrate your life with Shawndra. Many prayers and much gratitude for continuing to share your life with us.

Happy Birthday Shawndra...I am embarrassed to say that I am one of your neighbors that exchanged hello's whenever we saw each other but I was unlucky...I never got to know you. I see your husband and occassionally your daughter outside often. I know you can see them but just in case, we are keeping an eye our for them too. You have touched our life deeply though we never met. Always thinking of you.

Just wanted to say that Im back to school nursing, after an all too fast summer break & checking for a new entry from Shawndra was part of my routine. I just had to check, for old times sake.
Please know that she is missed. Her words are missed. Her stories are missed. AND, know that you are continually prayed for, for hope, guidance, comfort, peace & love. God Bless, Vickie in J.C. Mo.

I have not met your family and followed Shawndra's story after hearing about her through Jennifer Ireland's blog.

I can't explain why but Shawndra was in my dream a few nights ago. Over the last few months, I have continually checked the blog for new updates and to also read older posts. My dream had Shawndra sitting at a desk typing on the computer (perhaps she was typing on her blog?) and I came into the room and she talked with me for awhile. She looked the same as your treasured photo of her--the one from your engagement night. Her hair was longer and she sat quite contently typing away.

I don't recall the conversation we had except for one statement she made...she asked me "Does your husband make you feel jazzy?" She had that girlish smile on her face and was so excited! Unfortunately, I cannot recall the rest of the dream....

I'm not sure if this has any meaning to you but thought I would pass along my sign from Shawndra. From reading the blogs I know you definitely made Shawndra feel "jazzy" and you will forever be her eternal love. Hopefully it means something to you or at least shows she is working among those who only knew her through the blog.

I pray everyday that God grants you peace and comfort. Shawndra is watching over you and Ella always...forever your guardian angel.

Shawndra--thanks for your sign! I have passed it along to those who are most dear to you.

-Faithful in prayer!

Dear Ella,

Your mommy was such a special person! I wasn't lucky enough to meet her for myself, but I got to know her (and you, and your daddy) through her blog. She loved you both more than anything. I guess this is one of the reasons I continue to visit here - to let you know that your mommy loved you so much that all that love spilled out through her blog and is coming back to you through the thoughts and prayers of people all over the world.

Your mommy loves you and is with you all the time, Ella.

Hugs from your friend in California,

jg

WOW, I really liked the dream story. Thank you for sharing it with us all. Im sure that took alot of courage to put yourself out there like that, just in case that was a sign someone would understand. Maybe thats why you got the sign?
I don't quite know what it was about Shawndra that had me so intrigued & still thinking of her & praying for her & her family, daily..., it makes you wonder if she was an angel all along....

Thinking of you all today...well, everyday! Doug -- I hope you and Ella have found some type of normalcy although it is a new normalcy. I am sure life is very busy and filled with all kinds of things. I know Shawndra is so very proud of you and cheering you on every minute of it. A guiding guardian angel through it all.

God bless and much love!

Still praying for you all! Dustin, especially has been on my mind lately, maybe because a friend of mine was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. I hope I can bee as good of a friend to her as Dustin was to Shawndra.

I just saw a few quick pictures from Dustin's wedding.....one of Doug and Ella. They looked good and happy. One picture was of the Church's cross and stain glass windows, Doug's caption was that Shawndra was there in spirit. :)

Dustin, congratulations to you and your new husband! Of course, we do not 'know' each other, but it was so nice to read that you had something so wonderful to experience.

I am the person who posted to you on October 25th; I swear you were on my mind for weeks! (I hope it doesn't sound weird or creepy; my friend had just been diagnosed and Shawndra was on my mind.)

Maybe Shawndra was reaching out through the universe and sending you her love. I'm sure she was there and blessing your marriage alongside her husband and daughter.

Overheard someone discussing colon cancer awareness and my thoughts drifted to Shawndra...and then to her family and friends.

Thought I'd drop by to just let you know that Shawndra and her spunky spirit live on in the lives of those she touched!

Cheers!

As another new year has began I think of your sweet Shawndra. People say time heals all things, yet not so...the loss of someone as young and loved as she was is compared to climbing a mountain which never has a peak to reach...my years have taught me to hold on to the memories and forever hold your loved one near to your heart and mind. Ella can grow up knowing her mom..keep her momma close in everyday things...a mother's love cannot be replaced, Yet God can bring another momma type person into her life that will show Ella Shanwdra's love each day...my the Lord bless you and draw you ever nearer to Him~
