We all want to be our children's playmates for life, but unfortunately they usually prefer someone their own size!! tee hee
You are continually in my thoughts and prayers!
ShelleyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2897182093722876878.post-46696888164359198242007-08-07T17:01:00.000-05:002007-08-07T17:01:00.000-05:00Shawndra,I have been following your blog via Jenni...Shawndra,
I have been following your blog via Jennifer Ireland's blog via. You are very courageous and I admire your strength in dealing with this. These various blogs have really added new meaning and a new dimension to my life, so thank you.
I usually don't comment on these things but, I guess there's a first for everything. I think you'll be really pleased with your choice to let Ella have some time away from you! :) I am a stay-at-home mom and about two years ago I started working like 8 hours a week, but it did require two days a week at "school" for my 18-month and 3-year old. The first day was the worst day of my life, and definitely much harder on me then on the kids. The first month, I dropped them off at 8:00 a.m., went to work and picked them up at 1:00pm which was as quick as I could get from work to the center! Eventually, I got to the point where I could let them enjoy their day and I finally got to enjoy my time away, as well as simple things like a trip to Target without having to browse in the toy section, or a stop at the post office without having to undo the car seats, lug kids inside for two minutes, back out, etc. (you know the drill)! You'll be a better mom with more time to concentrate on Ella when she's with you when you have the time to accomplish what you need to do (even if it's take a nap). All this from someone (me) who wasn't going to be one of those "daycare moms!"
Congratulations on your anniversary. Make it a good one. You seem to have a terrific guy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2897182093722876878.post-49657519946262860822007-08-07T15:57:00.000-05:002007-08-07T15:57:00.000-05:00Congratulations on your 3rd anniversary. Your family has be very instrumental in getting the ball rolling with him. i have shared several of your veiws with him in hopes that some of your positiveness wears off on him. As for you, congratulations on three years married. Next thing you know you'll look up and be celebrating twenty three years! I remember those first days of day care...I think they were harder for me then the kids! At first you do alot of watching the clock for "pick up " time. Kinda defeats the purpose of time to yourself, but you'll adjust quickly. Enjoy you anniversary day, and thanks for all your inspiration, not just to me and my family, but to so many people!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
